On 8th September, 2013, School Of Business Administration successfully held 2013 international students` opening ceremony at A409, Tongno Building in Liulin campus. And this is a special activity organized by OIA&CFCRI of School Of Business Administration in order to welcome the 25 international students from Europe.
Dr. Tang Mingfeng, director of OIA&CFCRI, extended warm welcome to all international students on behalf of the school, and briefly introduced the history, education development, academics and research, education reform and international exchange of School of Business Administration. Besides, she had shared her experience of studying abroad. And then, the volunteers’ representative of School Of Business Administration gave a specific introduction of the campus life, including campus facilities, health center, internet service, transportation service, traffic rules and price, sports facilities, campus tour and way to address cultural conflicts. Later, Humin from the CFCRI introduced the administration regulations.
After the ceremony, international students had taken a campus tour guided by volunteers and enjoyed their lunch at Liuyuan restaurant. Kougang, the executive dean of School of Business Administration delivered a speech to welcome the joining of international students into the big family of SWUFE and communicated with them to know more about their feelings and plans of living in China. In addition, dean Kou encouraged the international students to study Chinese diligently and experience Chinese culture, and he said that OIA&CFCRI would spare no efforts to solve their problems. There were 25 international students consisted of 16 French, 3 Swedish, 3 Belgian, 1 Austrian, 1 Italian and 1 British. Among them, 7 French students will pursue the master degree of Marketing Management while others are exchange students. This year, School of Business Administration had received 39 foreign students (exchanging for one semester or one academic year) including 6 French exchange students and 8 American exchange students in the beginning of this year, which reached a record high. After the lunch, dean Kou took a group photo with the international students.
The opening ceremony ended successfully with a happy and relaxed atmosphere. This activity provided a comprehensive map of campus life for international students to follow and build up their confidence in living in SWUFE. We sincerely hope that the international students of 2013 can adjust their mindset and start a bright and rich journey in SWUFE.
