Off campus (for exchange students):

About RMB 800-1,800 yuan/month, depending on number of rooms. Our volunteers from International Students Association (ISA) will help with consulting a real estate agency and finding a residence off campus.

On campus (for short-term and degree students):

RMB 500 yuan/month, signal room, with furniture and bathroom, RMB 1000 yuan for deposit.

Additional Information

Visa

Students come to SWUFE for exchange need to apply for a study visa, X1 or X2 visa according to the duration of stay. And you are required to apply for a residence permit within 30 days upon arrival if you are holding the X1 visa. For details, please contact the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in your country.

Insurance

All international students are suggested to purchase an insurance covering their study in China, and also required topurchase the compulsory one provided by a Chinese insurance company on the orientation day, which is RMB 300 yuan/person/half year.

Buddy System

The International Students Association (ISA) is a volunteer group of International Affair Office dedicated to helping our international exchange students get acquainted with studying and living at SWUFE and Chengdu.

Orientation Day

Students are strongly suggested to arrive at SWUFE about 2 or 3 days before the orientation day, and are required to attend the orientation which consistsof sessions on:

l Registration for School (student number, student card etc.)

l Visa and Residence Permit

l Courses and Course Registration

l Insurance

l Regulations of SWUFE

l Living in Chengdu




































1. How to get to School of Business Administration (SBA), SWUFE?

1)  Pick-up service from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport to SWUFE. Please note that:

★ Please confrim the pick-up date and time with your coordinator or ISA buddy.

★ Inform us AT LEAST 3 WEEKS ahead of your detailed arrival information including flight/train number, arrival date, and luggage size, etc. Otherwise, it may result in failing to organize the pick-up service.

2) Take taxi, DiDi (Uber in China) or metro and buses:

If you prefer to come to SWUFE by yourself, you can take a taxi at Shuangliu Airport/ Chengdu Train Station and show the taxi driver the address below:成都市温江区柳台大道 555号西南财经大学(柳林校区)

2. Registration for Accommodation

International students are required to bring your passport along and register your accommodation information at local police station (Yunxi Police Station) within 24 hours upon arrival. Please find the location in the map below:

ISA will photograph your passport and visa on Orientation Day to help you complete it and give your registration form of accommodation back within 5 days.

Please note that if you have renewed your passport or visa, or changed your address, you must re-apply for a new accommodation registration form within 10 days. Otherwise, you will be regarded as an illegal resident and fined heavily accordingly.



3. Visa and Residence Permit

X1 visa is for long-term study (> 180 days). Students who hold an X1 visa must apply for a residence permit within 30 days upon arrival in China.

X2 visa is for short-term study (<= 180 days). Students who hold an X2 visa and plan to leave and then return to mainland China also need to apply for a residence permit for more entries in 30 days upon arrival in China.

4. Health Care & Insurance

All international students are required to purchase an insurance covering their study in China provided by a Chinese insurance company on the orientation day. The insurance fee is RMB 300 yuan /person /half year. Please check the insurance liabilities below:
