Management Center Innsbruck (MCI)

MCI Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) was founded in 1995 as a spin-off of the University of Innsbruck, and then became a private management institution due to the investment of public assets, ranking first among the colleges in Austria. Together with the University of Innsbruck, the Federal State of Tyrol, the City of Innsbruck, the Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber of Labor and the Industrialists' Association form the ownership of MCI. It acts as an autonomous academic institution offering fully accredited bachelor's, master's & executive master's programs, short courses, tailored corporate trainings, applied research solutions, entrepreneurial start-up support and more.

Innsbruck is the capital city of the federal state of Tyrol in western Austria. It is located in the Inn Valley of alpine valley, bordered by Germany to the north, Italy to the south, Swiss to the west, and Vienna of Austria to the east. With the pleasant weather, Innsbruck is an international resort remaining the medieval style and characterized by the gothic buildings lining the narrow streets, Baroque gates and Renaissance-style arcades. The new urban district is next to the east and north of the old town. In addition, Innsbruck is an internationally renowned winter sports center, and hosted the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics. The biggest charitable organization – SOS Children’s Village placed its head quarter in Innsbruck as well as Swarovski. It is also known as the University Town.
