European Foundation for Management Development
EFMD – the European Foundation for Management Development is a global, membership driven organisation, based in Brussels. As the largest international network association in the field of management development, the EFMD network includes almost 800 institutional members and reaches over 25,000 management development professionals from academia, business, public service and consultancy across 80 countries worldwide.
EFMD plays a central role in shaping an international approach to management education and is a unique forum for information, research, networking and debate on innovation and best practice in management development. EFMD provides an international platform to bring together leaders in the management education profession, and membership brings many opportunities for partnerships, student and faculty exchanges and the sharing of knowledge and ideas.
Business school members include INSEAD, LBS, IMD, IE, RSM, Cranfield, TUCK, HEC – Montréal, CEIBS, Antai, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, INCAE, Korea University, University of Sydney, University of Cape Town, IIM Ahmadabad and many other leading schools from around the world. Company membership has a more European feel and includes Alcatel-Lucent, Allianz, BBC, Capgemini University, Deutsche Bank, IBM, Intel and Haniel.
The different services EFMD offers include conferences and events around the world that address key issues for our industry, surveys and the dissemination of knowledge, quality improvement and accreditation via EQUIS and EPAS as well as the EFMD Deans Across Frontiers (EDAF) development programme. We have networks and activities targeted towards Deans, MBA, Executive Education, Undergraduate, Masters, Doctoral, International Relations / External Relations, Research, Entrepreneurship, Responsible Leadership (CSR / Sustainability), and management education in Africa, the Middle East & North Africa & Asia. EFMD also hosts advisory seminars covering key issues for schools and provides publications, research, international projects, case writing, excellence in practice and doctoral research awards, free job posting service plus more.

At the end of 2012, SBA (School of Business Administration) of SWUFE (Southwestern University of Finance and Economics) and EFMD had reached a cooperative agreement, setting these market- oriented programs, like EMBA and EDP, as the part of SBA.
