The Fifth Strategy Consultation Committee Meeting of SBA of SEUFE was held successfully on June 12, at Rende hall of Chengdu Renhe Spring Hotel. The meeting was attended by Bian Huimin, vice president of SWUFE, Yang Dan, Vice President of SWUFE, Chen Bindong, Dean of SBA of SWUFE, Kou Gang, Executive Dean of SBA of SWUFE, Feng Li, Party Secretary of SBA, Yang Shilei, Associate Dean of SBA of SWUFE, Fu Xiaorong, Associate Dean of SBA of SWUFE, Zhang Jianbo, Deputy Party Secretary of SBA, Wang Su, Deputy Party Secretary of SBA, He Jie and Liu Zhong, Assistant Dean, Wang Yang, Assistant Party Secretary of SBA.
The first meeting was held at 2:00 p.m.. Participants of the Fifth Strategy Consultation Committee Meeting from other universities are as follows: PerEinarHarald Cramér, Dean of School of Business, Economics and Law at University of Gothenburg, Sweden; Robert Emerson Widing II, Dean of Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University;Bruce William Weber,Dean of Lerner College, Professor of Business Administration at University of Delaware; David Allen Whidbee,Interim Dean of College of Business at Washington State University; Wang Fanghua, Former Dean of Antai College of Economics and Management at Shanghai JiaoTong University; Wang Fan, Vice Dean of Sun Yat-sen Business School. This meeting was presided by Yang Shilei, Associate Dean of SBA of SWUFE.
At the beginning of this meeting, Yang Dan, Vice President of SWUFE addressed a welcome speech and extended warm welcome and sincere gratitude to all the committee members coming from afar. In his speech, he pointed out three major challenges in current situation, namely knowledge reorganization triggered by network, fierce competition posed by globalization, and demands of cultivating innovative talents. Then, Chen Bindong, Dean of SBA of SWUFE, Kou Gang, Executive Dean of SBA of SWUFE, delivered a speech respectively. Focusing on the EQUIS accreditation, the members of the committee had a heated discussion on major issues including the future development and the internationalization of SBA in order to formulate a set of practical, constructive, innovative, and perspective plans and suggestions.
The second meeting of Strategy Consultation Committee was held at 7:30 p.m.. Participants from the business community joined into the discussion.
