New Cooperation Fruit between Chinese and German Universities – Implementation of CHIKOH Project

On 18 January 2018, Dr Johannes Klenk Head of China-Competence in Hohenheim (CHIKOH) Project and Mr Jan Heidemanns Coordinator of CHIKOH Project from University of Hohenheim (UH) visited School of Business Administration (SBA), Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. Professor Shilei Yang, Vice Dean of SBA, and Professor Mingfeng Tang, Director of International Affairs Office and Sino-French Innovation Research Center welcomed Dr Klenk and Mr Heidemanns and attended the meeting on behalf of SBA SWUFE.
The main topic is about cooperation details of CHIKOH project. It is a three years project initiated by University of Hohenheim and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany, aiming at strengthening academic and research cooperation by exchange of researchers and PhD students and helping German staff and students to know China better. Beside SBA SWUFE, Tongji University, China Agricultural University and other six German companies and institutions are involved in this project.
Mr Heidemanns described the project period and goals, as well as the activities, for example, workshops on Doing Research in China, mobility of researchers, case studies on economic activities in China, joint PhD project etc. Professor Mingfeng Tang reviewed our current cooperation achievements and invite University of Hohenheim to participate in the 2018 Global Academy of SWUFE. She is confident about the CHIKOH project and expects a fruitful cooperation on joint research and exchange between Chinese and German students and faculties.
