About the Lecturer:

Professor Qin Hu received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation, Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2002 and 2005, and his doctorate degree from the Business School, City University of Hong Kong in 2011.His main research fields include artificial intelligence optimization algorithms, network planning, vehicle routing optimization, intelligent logistics, intelligent warehousing, intelligent manufacturing, data mining and machine learning,etc.Professor Qin has published more than 40 papers in English SCI/SSCI journals, including 1 INFORMS Journal On Computing (IJOC), 3 Transportation Science (TS), and 11 European Journal of Operational Research (EJOR).On October 18, 2018, Professor Qin won the overall champion of JD Global Operations Optimization Challenge (Intelligent Scheduling of Urban Logistics and Transportation Vehicles). He actively applies academic research results to the enterprise practice, creates value for the enterprise, enhances the enterprise's competitive power, and he hosted and completed many enterprise projects.The cooperation units include Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. , SF Express Co.Ltd , Midea Group, Blue Moon Co. , Ltd. , Guangzhou P & G Co. , Ltd. , Shanghai Kejian Software Technology Co. , Ltd. .

About the Lecture:

Undergraduate education is the foundation of higher education, its importance is self-evident.The speaker will share his experience in teaching and extracurricular training for undergraduates through the new media WeChat official account.The main course taught by the speaker is Operations Research, and the extracurricular training directions for undergraduates are: Data Analysis, Operations Research Optimization Algorithm, Machine Learning Algorithm and Information System Development.The speaker will introduce a full set of undergraduate extracurricular training system, including student selection, assignment, achievement presentation, elimination mechanism, competition guidance, enterprise project, essay writing, etc.
