主讲人简介：
Pankaj Maskara（潘卡基·马斯卡拉），金融学博士，美国诺瓦东南大学商学院教授，连续创业者、著名天使投资人。诺贝尔经济学奖得主Holmstrom数字金融项目团队核心专家。不但是高产的学术专家，在众多国际高水平杂志发表专业论文，包括Journal of Financial Economics、Journal of Banking & Finance等国际顶级期刊，其论文曾被Richard Roll、Stephen Ross等权威学者推荐；也是优秀的教育家，讲授的“创业学”“真实世界的金融”一直是商学院最具人气的课程，他的课堂吸引了世界各地的学生，一些学生甚至专门乘飞机从其他国家去听他的讲座。
Maskara教授同时也在一些国际企业担任高级顾问，他本人游历广泛，通晓5国语言，到过世界40多个国家，具有广阔的国际视野。2019年Maskara教授开始了一项基于“随机田野实验”全新的研究，至今已有Harvard、MIT、Oxford等名校研究人员作为研究团队成员。
内容提要：
Field experiments have recently gained more prominence among academicians in Economics. Insights gleaned from field experiments play an important complementary role to inferences drawn from analysis of secondary data for policy formulation purposes. The seminar will emphasize the importance of field experiments in social science. It will discuss the essential components of a field experiment and highlight the differences between lab experiments and field studies. Also, it will explore the different fields of study in economics that are best suited to field experiments. Particularly, China’s unique socioeconomic background provides us a great platform to do field experiment research. The seminar will also highlight the entrepreneurship studies we are working on in China using field experiments.
最近,随机田野实验在经济学者中变得更加重要了。在政策制定过程中，从随机田野实验中所产生的洞见能够为那些仅从二手数据分析得出的推论提供重要的补充。本次研讨会将强调随机田野实验在社会科学中的重要性；讨论随机田野实验的重要内容，并强调实验室研究和田野研究之间的差异性。同时，本研讨会也将会探索那些最适合随机田野实验方法的经济学研究领域。特别地，中国独特的社会经济背景为我们提供了进行实地实验研究的绝佳平台，因此本次研讨会还将重点介绍我们正在中国开展的创新创业方面的田野实验研究。
